Every new roof deserves a review

A roofer does not have hundreds of customers a year. Ask every one of them after the final inspection, and Citypicked follows up if the first message gets buried.

Your new roof from Summit Ridge

Summit Ridge Roofing

SSummit Ridge Roofing

Hi Mr. Delgado, The crew is gone, the yard is clean and your new roof is done. We sent the photos over so you can see the work up close. Would you tell us how we did? A tap on the stars below is all it takes. Thanks again, Rick Hollis Summit Ridge Roofing

The right moment

When to ask

01
After the final inspection
The dumpster is gone and the inspection passed. For the first time the homeowner sees the finished roof from the street. That is when your request should arrive.
02
Once the photos are in
Homeowners do not climb onto the roof. Send them your photos of the finished job and set the request for four hours later, so they have looked at them first.
03
After a storm repair
After a storm, the homeowner is mostly glad the leak has stopped. Ask the next morning, once the worry has passed.

Review sites

Where your customers review

A roof is a big purchase, and homeowners compare carefully, starting on Google. After a storm many also look a roofer up on the BBB before signing anything, and Angi and Nextdoor carry weight when neighbors recommend you.

A card in the warranty packet

At the end of the job the homeowner gets the invoice and the warranty papers. Add a postcard-size card with your QR code. Whoever leafs through the packet later can still rate you, no text or email needed.

What changes for you

No review slips through: With only a few big jobs a year, every missing review hurts. Citypicked reminds up to two times, for example after three and after ten days, and only those who have not left stars yet.
A proper email from the owner: For a roof that will last decades, a real email fits better than a short text. You write it yourself, with a greeting, a thank you and your name at the bottom. Basic includes 300 email requests a month, Pro 1,000 and Business 2,500.
Storm weeks without the paper pile: After a big storm you fix a lot of roofs in a few days. Upload the finished repairs as a CSV list in the evening, and Citypicked sends the requests spread out over several hours.

Real businesses, real stars.

Common questions

We only do a handful of roofs a month. Is it worth it?

That is exactly when it matters. With few customers every review counts. A request takes a minute at the final inspection, and anyone who does not respond gets a reminder. You can try it for free and cancel anytime.

Can I send the roof photos with the request?

No, Citypicked does not send photos. Send the pictures the way you always do, then set the request for a few hours later. That way the homeowner has seen the roof before picking stars.

On insurance jobs the adjuster and the homeowner both talk to us. Who do I ask?

The homeowner, who chose you and lives under that roof. Only ask people who gave you permission. You confirm that with every text or email you send.

Does the BBB belong on a roofer's review page?

If homeowners in your area check it, yes. Add it beside Google, and anyone who rates you well gets to choose between the two. With Google alone, they land on Google directly.

Do texts to customers in the US work right away?

SMS to the US and Canada need a sender number first. We set it up for you; it takes about a week. Email, WhatsApp and QR codes work from the first day.
