New yards in spring, care into the fall, often for older homeowners. Ask by text after the final walk-through, and leave the code on the plant care sheet.

The right moment
You walk the new patio with the homeowner, and they are happy. Add them on the spot and pick when the text goes out: now, in a few hours or tomorrow morning.
The first mow shows the lawn has taken root. Your crew lead sends the request from their phone while the customer is still standing at the fence.
Maintenance customers see you many times a year. Ask after the spring cleanup or fall leaf removal, not after every mow. Citypicked keeps the gap you set between requests.

People look for a landscaper in town on Google. Neighbors trade names on Nextdoor, and if jobs reach you through Angi or Thumbtack, switch those on too.

After planting you leave a sheet on when to water, feed and trim. Put the code sticker on it. Homeowners pull that sheet out again and again in the first weeks and can scan once everything is green.

If your software works with Zapier, Make or n8n, yes. With the automation link on the Pro plan, a request goes out after each job, hours later if you like. Otherwise add name and email by hand or upload a list.
If they read texts or email, they will: tap the stars and write a few words. Without a smartphone they can open the email on a computer. Anyone who is not online at all, you simply do not add. Citypicked only asks the people you enter.
We would not. Neighbors and dog walkers read that sign, and they have never hired you. Reviews should come from the people whose yard you built. Put your name and number on the sign and the code on the care sheet.
Yes, with some space in between. By default Citypicked asks the same person at most once in 30 days. For maintenance customers, set 60 or 90 days. Anyone who unsubscribed is never asked again.
SMS to the US and Canada need a sender number first. We set it up for you; it takes about a week. Email, WhatsApp and QR codes work from the first day.
