When the return is filed
The client has signed and the return is e-filed. Most people feel real relief at that point, and a short email the same day meets them right there.

When the refund is on its way
The return was accepted and the refund is coming. Pick the clients you want to ask and send the requests one by one or as a list.

After the year-end meeting
For small business owners, closing the books and the business return are the big appointment of the year. After the meeting, the request goes out the next morning.

Citypicked never sees a tax return: Citypicked stores the client's name, email or mobile number, the stars and any private feedback. No tax forms, no figures, no Social Security numbers. What is in the return stays in your office.
One upload in the middle of tax season: At the end of a busy week, upload the clients whose returns went out as a CSV. Citypicked spreads the sending over several hours and skips anyone already asked in the last 30 days.

What does Citypicked learn about my clients?

Only the name, email or mobile number, the star rating and any private feedback a client writes. No documents, no tax data, nothing from the return.

Do I have to email every client one by one?

No. Export the returns you finished as a list and upload it as a CSV. If your practice software works with Zapier, Make or n8n, the Pro plan can also send the request by itself after each filed return.

Which sites should I switch on for my review page?

Google first, since that is where new clients look. Add BBB if you have a profile there. Fewer choices make it easier for clients, and with only one site on, they go straight there.

My preparers each have their own clients. Can they send requests?

Yes. Every team member can send, and Analytics shows how many came from each person. Basic includes 3 team seats (including yours), Pro and Business any number.

Do texts to customers in the US work right away?

SMS to the US and Canada need a sender number first. We set it up for you; it takes about a week. Email, WhatsApp and QR codes work from the first day.
