The right moment

When to ask

01
At sign-off
The customer just signed and is still standing next to you. Type their number into your phone, and the request goes out an hour later, when you are already on the road.
02
While you write invoices at night
If you do your invoices in the evening, add the day's customers while you are at it. Citypicked sends the requests the next morning, not late at night.
03
Once a month, as a list
If your job software exports customers as a CSV file, upload the month's finished jobs in one go. Citypicked spreads the sending over a few hours.

Review sites

Where your customers review

People who need a contractor check Google stars first. If some of your work comes through Angi, add it, and add Nextdoor if most jobs come from neighbors talking. Your customer then picks where to review.

And a code on your business card

Print the QR code on the back of your business card and leave one at sign-off. As a PNG or SVG file it also fits into your invoice template. Every scan leads to the same review page.

What changes for you

Your week at a glance, Monday morning: Your weekly report lands on Monday at 8 a.m. and shows how many requests went out, which stars came back and whether new private feedback is waiting. One look before the week starts.
Go easy on property managers: You may work for the same property manager several times a month. Citypicked asks each contact no more than once in 30 days. Prefer a longer gap? Pick 60 or 90.
Fix it before it grows: If a door still sticks, the customer might give you two stars. They end up in a short form that only reaches you, an email tells you at once, and you can go back and fix it while it is still small.

Real businesses, real stars.

“For our dental practice we got 4.8 on Google and 5/5 on Jameda.”

“Citypicked has made it possible for us to collect great reviews for our restaurants.”

Common questions

I'm on job sites all day. When am I supposed to do this?

Right at sign-off works best. Type in the name and mobile number, pick when it goes out and you are done: right away, in one, two or four hours, or the next morning. If you prefer batches, upload a list once a month.

Do I have to ask every customer, even with a punch list still open?

No. You decide on every job who gets asked. If a punch list item or a complaint is still open, just wait until it is done.

Is Angi worth adding next to Google?

If part of your work comes through Angi, yes. Switch it on beside Google and let the customer pick. With only Google switched on, they go straight there.

My foremen should ask their own customers. Does that work?

Yes. Add each foreman as a team member with a separate login, and they ask right from their own phone. In Analytics you see which foreman sent how many. Basic includes 3 team seats (including yours), Pro and Business any number.

Do texts to customers in the US work right away?

SMS to the US and Canada need a sender number first. We set it up for you; it takes about a week. Email, WhatsApp and QR codes work from the first day.
