The right moment
The customer is back inside and the stress drops away. Hand them your card with the code, and add their number for a text in two hours.
Nobody wants a text in the middle of the night. Citypicked holds what you add until your sending hours begin, and the customer reads it rested, over breakfast.
After a break-in or lost keys you rekey or change the lock, and the customer feels safe again. Ask the next morning, once they have tried the new key.

Review sites
Locked-out people search Google first. Many also check a locksmith on the BBB before letting a stranger near their lock, and neighbors ask for one on Nextdoor.

People keep a good locksmith's card in their wallet for next time. Print the code on it, and add it as a PNG to your invoice template too. With two labels, you see which one gets scanned more.

Type name and mobile number, pick a time, send. You already have the number from the call. You write the text once ahead of time, and Citypicked fills in the name and link.
Ask at the door for their own number, and while you are at it, whether you may text them. Or just hand them your card with the code. Otherwise the request goes to the neighbor, who was never your customer.
Only if you switch Sundays on in your sending hours; otherwise it waits until Monday morning. You set sending hours between 5 a.m. and 11 p.m., separately for each location.
Yes, if you have a BBB profile. Switch it on next to Google, and after the stars the customer picks where to write. A local directory that is not on the list goes in as a custom link.
