A code on the meat case for everyday shoppers, and a text after preorders for the holiday roast, grilling boxes or party platters. That way your longtime regulars get asked too.
Nothing to pay today. Cancel anytime.
The right moment
Slicing and weighing take a moment, and the customer stands right at the case. A sticker on the glass is right in front of them.
Once the turkey or prime rib is eaten and you're back to normal hours, send the request to everyone who preordered.
When someone picks up a party platter or grilling box, enter them right away and choose tomorrow morning. The text arrives after the party.

Text message
Holiday roasts, grilling boxes and party platters already come with a name and number. Ask when they order whether a text afterward is OK, then enter it in Citypicked at pickup.

A text needs no app. One tap on the link opens the page, then they tap the stars. Anyone who would rather not simply skips it, and nobody at the counter has to be talked into anything.
No. A text only needs the name and mobile number you already take. If you keep the list on a computer, upload it as a CSV. Otherwise type the numbers in one by one.
Yes. Set up the catering side as a second location. It gets its own review page linking to its own Google listing, plus its own codes and numbers. The second location is simply added to your plan.
No, Citypicked does not plan requests weeks ahead. Send them once the holiday is over, easiest as a CSV list, and spread the sending over several hours when you upload.
SMS to the US and Canada need a sender number first. We set it up for you; it takes about a week. Email, WhatsApp and QR codes work from the first day.
